Another thought occurred to me. People are reporting "lost channels" caused by interference from DECT phone base station, wireless router, BT home hub etc. Only way to be certain is to switch these off at the wall socket.

Re: Lost a few channels, Any advice plz
In my case, I did check for interference from DECT and wireless network by switching them off temporarily, but it made no difference, so I guess I've got a dodgy-box (as discussed earlier)!

I had a similar issue on Friday, seemed half the channels had technical faults or no signal being received.
I removed the power lead, the phone lead and the cable from the dish and left the sky box for around 5 mins. Pluged it all back in and turned the box back on, its been fine ever since

The DECT interference issue only affects two transponders - C4+1 is one, the other has a load of crappy pop channels.
I'm at the inlaws this weekend, their box had lost C4 and More4+1 amongst others, a reboot fixed it. The migration of the C4 channels seems to have caused a few people to lose channels.
