      Recording Issues with Sky+

I have an Amstrad A2P052 sky+ box, its old as I've had it for at least 2 years.
If I watch the channels they are fine and no problems.
But recently virtually any recording at some point will start jumping and skipping the picture and sound. Some channels more than others.
      EPG Software version 5.02.f

I have heard its because there is an issue with the software on the Amstrad boxes, is this true?
Could anyone point me in the direction of help on this?
      Thanks.

Not heard about the software on amstrad.

      You could:

      a) perform housekeeping (defrags the hard drive)
      b) do a full system reset (reformats the hard drive and loses all recordings)

      To get to either:

      - Services
      - 4
      - 0
      - 1
      - Select

Dont worry about the menus that appear when you do this as it's a hidden menu.

ok thanks, I'm trying the housekeeping variety.
Got lots of stuff I dont want to delete.
The problem def lies with the recording as even when playing at x2 speed you can still see the picture jump. Odd thing that its only just started happening.
I'll have to record some more progs and let you know.

The housekeeping reset seems to have worked, thanks.
