Baldman looking for help
Hi Guys thank you for letting me into your forums, as you can see i am new here so please be gentle with me
, ok let's see if you can help me with this little teaser, ok i have had sky for 9 years now and i use a 8 way lnb and two sky digi boxes one downstairs and one upstairs and a magic eye on the upstairs box, But last week i took advantage of the sky offers and was the proud owner of a brand new sky plus box and multiroom subscription. The sky plus box is fitted upstairs and they also changed my downstairs box for a new thompson model
and issued me with another card, ok this is the question
i have just purchased another sky+ box and i have fitted it downstairs myself(yes dual cables from lnb and rf2 outlet set to on) do i have to ring sky to get it set up? (ie changing boxes) and could the magic eye run from another seperate bedroom and control the sky+ downstairs inc recording and using planner? any help would be appreciated, and thank you for taking the time to look at my little dilema

Re: Baldman looking for help
If you have a spare card, you will need to ring Sky to get it paired. You would also need to pay another £10 multiroom, if you want to watch all the channels on it.

Re: Baldman looking for help
Multiroom is £10 per STB not per household.

Re: Baldman looking for help
Ok guys all sorted now, the card would not pair up to the box because it was a faulty card, new card fitted and sky+ working upstairs, and sky+ working downstairs and also Magic eye working in spare room, so all fixed and working and at no extra cost, so only paying for multiroom which is £10 per month extra
, ty for your help

Re: Baldman looking for help
I think you caused confusion by saying you had installed 3 Digiboxes, not 2.
