downgrading
Hi All,
new here so pls be gentle.
Have come to the end of my years free sky+ / sky world (I won a comp) and have to start paying £45+ now which i can't really afford.
What's the cheapest 'package' available? Can i just use my sky+ box as a freeview box so i have no monthly cost?
Thx.

Re: downgrading
No, you have to be a paying subscriber to be able to use the sky plus functions.
The cheapest package is a one mix which is currently £16 (due to rise in September to £17 I believe):

Re: downgrading
Hi All,
another couple of questions if i may:
1. can i downgrade to a basic £16 / £17 package for a couple of months or is it a whole new contract. i.e. come Feb / March time can i add in some sky sports?
2. do you get Sky Sports News as part of the cheapest package?
Thx.

Re: downgrading
You can upgrade / Downgrade your channel packages as often as you like.
The minimum price you pay is £17 a month for the Entertainment Mix (Sept price).
The only problem being that upgrades can be done on line, you have to ring up for downgrades to be interrogated.
If you have Sky + you have to remain a subscriber (£17/month min) to continue using the recording features.
If you cease to subscribe you will be able to view the free to air channels, check out what they are on the Freesat from Sky website, you will not be able to use the record function.
Its possible to enable the recording function by paying a monthly sub of £10.
Hope this is all clear.
