Advice - recommended my mum so we both get sky+ but they didn't take my details
Advice please -
We recommended my mum so we both get sky+ but they didn't take my details.
My mum is getting it installed on monday.
I asked when we would get our box but she said they didn't enen ask our address (she is 70 yrs old so didn't think at the time why they had not asked)
She went back to see the ppl in the shopping centre today and they saying they should have done it yesterday!!!
Thats not our fault, so how do we go about getting our free sky+ box? The ppl who signed her up don't want to know.
Any help appreciated.

I think that your Mother is going to have to ring Sky, or at least give them the authority for you to speak to them.
Once you have spoken to Sky, I would hope that they will resolve this. The other option is for your mother to cancel and then resign up, with you along side her at that time.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

OK, she phoned up and got her acc number.
Then I phoned the refferals line and told them the story.
Trans to customer services and back to refferals.
Eventually just got a girl on refferals who didn't ask loads of questions and just registered us both... she said we will get the +box after my mums first bill is paid.
So that's better... should have been much easier though.
The girl said we will be charged installation even though we are alradey on sky... that doesn't sound right.
Doesn't the sky+ box just need plugging in like the standerd box we have ATM?

The installation charge is normal for the existing customer. It's normally in the small print.

I believe so mate...
that's the reason behind getting my mam on sky, she's getting a bit lost with the many DVD and Video remotes shes got and remembering how to use them all.
TBH she only wanted freeveiw/freesat but apparently if you don't have the minimum package you still have to pay £10 a month for the recording function of the box to stay active.

Ah, ok.
Suppose it's best if I let them install then.
£60 is a bit steep I only paid £30 last time and my mams only paying £30 as well.
