Quick question, is this the old sky+ box?
pic coming...
My folks had sky+ installed in December, the box went faulty and the contractor has replaced it with this (which is faulty too, btw)
I'm pretty sure if it is the old box (could you please confirm) then they would be within their rights to demand the newer version (which they purchased). This thing doesn't even have sky anytime on it.Last edited by rbentley; 17-07-08 at 06:09 PM.

Re: Quick question, is this the old sky+ box?
It is the second Pace Sky+ box, same as mine, you are right ,it does not have Anytime (this is a disadvantage?)
it has a 40Gig HD, but is easy to upgrade. Mine has never missed a beat and will remain in use untill I make the switch to HD. (not untill the second box is well established)

No it is a Pace. the amstrad looks similar, but has the card slot on the other side, and the top is differant (I think)

That is an amstrad, same as the pace you put up first but I think the HD upgrade is differant (the original was 40 gig)
I suppose you could try and get a newer version with Anytime, but I bet Sky would not have to supply one. Apart from anytime, what is wrong with it?Last edited by Brian69; 17-07-08 at 06:36 PM.

Re: Quick question, is this the old sky+ box?
I have the same model amstrad box and apart from it looking a bit "brickish" in comparison to the new Amstrad standard digibox it replaced I cant complain about its performance. It doesnt have anytime, but I dont really miss that because I never had it. The best bit was I was given it for free

@ dholdi.
Apart from cosmetic differances between the Pace v2 and the amstrad, I think revews at the time said they were very much alike. have you tried upgrading the HD yet? I changed mine for a 120gig ages ago and it has been fine.

The pace uses a maxtor so I cant see any problems. But I have never tried to change a HD on any other make.
