copy files / photos to sky+ box
Since Sky+ box has 80GB hard disk, can we copy files (e.g. movies or photos) from computer or from camera. I mean i would like to store some photos on my sky+ box and then want see on my TV. Can we do it?

hmm, any other solution? e.g. if I want to attach an external hard drive with sky+ box?

The only was I know of that viewing photos off a hard drive onto your TV is via a Xbox 360, it just cannot be done with a Sky+ box.
The external USB ports on the Sky+ box I think the OP is reffering to aren't turned on and so we have no idea what the designers had in mind when they put them onto the box, I doubt I was to allow external drive access though.I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

Best bet is to buy an "Apple TV" box. That streams photos/movies from iTunes on your computer and feeds your TV direct.

The hard drive is encrypted. Recorded Content is decrypted as/when you watch it by the box's crypto module. This means you can't interact with the data by mounting the drive in a desktop computer. In other words: No you can't.
