      Need advice/help wiring SKY+ around my house

      Hi, new to these forums so if anything is a little unclear - I apologise!

      Ok, I ultimately want to have a SKY+ reception in 3 upstairs rooms and my kitchen.

      My current very basic set up consists of a 37" Panasonic Viera connected to a SKY+ box in the living room it then has an output cable upstairs to the main bedroom.

      I've read a few forums about the loftbox etc and I get the basic principal but as always with these things, its probably not as easy as it looks! another problem I face is that I have recenly redecorated my living room completely, from the bare bricks (yes I know I should have thought about this at the time) so channelling cables through the wall is not really an option (I could possibly go down the outside wall though)

      My knowledge so far that I've picked up fom browsing the internet is pretty basic - I think I need a LOFTBOX with a connection to the SKY dish (with the other dish cable directly to the box as it does currently) I then need to run a single cable down to a wall plate (little unclear about this bit) and then a cable back up to the box to distribute the signal around the house.

      Also a few questions;

      1) Is the wall plate essential? As mentioned I don't want to start channelling the wall.

      2)Does the plate have to be in the same room as the SKY box? I currently have 4 other rooms down to the bare brick, which would be ideal!

      Not sure what you are trying to achieve.
      Do you want independent Sky systems in each room, IE the ability to watch different Sky channels at the same time?
      Or to be able to watch the same channel in each room, or a terrestrial channel.
      In the former case you would need an Octal LNB and separate satellite feeds to each room, with multiple Sky boxes.(i.e Multiroom)
      In the second case you need a TV-Link distribution system, which is fed from the RF2 output from your Sky Box.

      You'll need two cables to the wall plate. One is the return feed.
