      In all honesty, normal TV channels I cannot tell the difference quality wise. On the HD channels there is a huge difference.

      Technically I don't know if the SD channels would be any better through a HD box, maybe someone else could confirm?

      I think there is an improvement in the standard channels via my HD box, maybe just the way it deals with the HDMI input rather than SCART, the pictures seem clearer and crisper and the colours don't seem to bleed as much. It shold also sort out any wavy lines etc.

      HD is superb, cannot wait for the F1 in HD next year assuming the BBC run it live I watched a bit of the A1GP today and it lookes great.
