    Sky+ channel probs?

    This is a discussion on Sky+ channel probs? within the Sky & Sky+ TV forums, part of the Other Sky help and support category; Anyone getting different picture sizes on some o9f the channels. The terrestial channels coming through Sky seem ok... Other channels ...

      Sky+ channel probs?

      Anyone getting different picture sizes on some o9f the channels.
      The terrestial channels coming through Sky seem ok...
      Other channels ...Mostly on the Discovery range seem to outputting the "old" square picture.

      Its not a fault, most channels do it, the Sky box signals the TV for 4*3 or 16*9 as appropriate.
      Most of the 'gold' channels programming was shot in the older format. I've noticed that lately Dave in particular has been showing wide-screen programming in its native format.
      You could always set your TV to panorama mode so the picture will always fill the screen although the actors will put on a few pounds.
