Sky+ Box skipping through menus

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me?

When scrolling through the menus on my + box (using the remote) the highlighted item jumps two places (i.e. in ALL CHANNELS, if channel 101 is highlighted and I scroll down to channel 102 by pressing the down button once, the cursor moves to channel 103)

This is getting most annoying.

I have done the following with no joy:
- changed the batteries on my remote
- done a full power reset
- a software upgrade
- and finally a full system reset

My plus box is an Amstrad.

I would be very grateful if anyone has an other ideas.

Chances are its the remote itself causing the problem.
Can you get hold of one and try it to make sure before you fork out for a new one?
