just got sky+ installed old skybox was rented cheaper than sky maintenance contract at begining of sky digital

but box clever dont do sky+ so cancelled contract they said they would need to uplift box, but now recieved letter stating that it is unecenomical for them to collect box as its of no use to them so i can now keep it

would like to use it for multiroom but dont want the hastle of running telephone cables up stairs to bedrooms would also like to pick up a second multiroom box to put in both kids rooms would sky supply viewing cards without telephone line connections or can i only connect to quad lnb and use for free to view channels

No, multiroom STB's have to be permanently connected to phoneline. Its to prevent you sharing boxes with others.

Just one thing. If someone put a cable though to next door so that they can have sky cheaper. Whats stopping them putting a phone extension through as well.

Nuffin really except the contract.
The phone line could also be unplugged and used to make calls, difficult to prove your neighbours had done it..

The fact that the neightbours might make phone line purchases online,play games,watch porn & PPV movies & then when you complain to Sky,they'll say 2 things;
Your fault for being so stupid in the first place
Your problem not ours

Oh,& you might end up paying full price for the neighbours box for however long it was in there!
