Honestly - pay for the installation thru sky.....
however. No you dont need to change the cable, but you do need a second run of cable. The LNB 'should' just slide out of the arm on the dish and slide back in. However, be gentle as you dont want to mis-align the dish by knocking it off it's angle. Also you need to waterproof the cable connections to the LNB with either self amalgamating tape or rubber boots (see satcure.co.uk).

Re: sky + upgrade
^^^ ( reds post )absolutely, I would not like to hear that youve fallen off the ladder I told you to go up to do this. If you dont feel confident about it then dont even contemplate it and get sky or an independent fitter to do it. I changed the cable to a moulded twin feed cable which looks neater, but as red says an extra single cable will do.
ps + is great, the best thing invented for ages, you can watch 1 channel whilst recording another or record 2 at the same time whilst watching 1 youve already recordedLast edited by dholdi; 27-04-08 at 01:14 AM.

Re: sky + upgrade
sky+ is the best invention after the broadband!
couldn't live without it now. Well worth the money to pay sky to come and fit it for you.
