Faulty box
Colleague of mine rang up Sky as his std sky box in his 2nd room has died (power supply gone), when he put his main one in this room it worked so ho knows everything else works.
Sky quoted him £49 for the box, which was fine, however they then said £60 installation fee, yes thats right £60 installation fee just to unscrew 2 leads and screw them into the new box and to plug it into the wall socket. We could understand if its a brand new installation to do cabling etc, but the cables are already there so how can they justify charging £60 to plug a box in.
He could have got another box off ebay and plugged it in himself for cheaper.
Strange thing was when I enquired about the price of a box they told me to try ebay, didnt suggest that to him though.
Not surprisingly he said no and cancelled his multiroom.
