Help with Sky Satellite Connection Cables
Hye
I have a situation at my home.
I have a sky satellite dish and a digibox and it all is working fine.
One of my friend is going to be moving in to my home for some time. He also has sky subscription but to different channels then i have.
what i would like to do is to have his TV and sky box in another room and keep all my stuff where it is. But i only have one cable coming from satellite dish to my sky box.
Any ideas how can i do this and what do i need for this? And also say if i manage to do it then will both sky boxes work at the same time?
Regards
J

Re: Help with Sky Satellite Connection Cables
All you need is a quad LNB, and some satellite type coax to connect up your friends box.
Both will run independently.

Re: Help with Sky Satellite Connection Cables
You will need access to the Sky dish. Can you easily reach it? If you can then very carefully remove the existing LNB with the single cable and replace it with a Sky type Quad (4)output LNB. Run a second length of coax to the second box. Connect the two coax cables to 2 of the 4 LNB outputs. Connect the two coax cables to the two digiboxes. Done. You have two set ups. On our building we have one dish with an 8 way LNB that feeds 3 Sky+ boxes in 3 apartments - Sky+ needs 2 coax cables per box.
