      Piping Sky round house

      Hi was someone might be able to assist.

      We have recently had Sky + installed at our house. Sky cables come through wall in the lounge.

      Prior to sky we had a main aerial feed come into our flat and split out through a four way splitter (to three seperate rooms) & by pass located in fuse box.

      I have followed the instructions on various websites and have taken the feed from the back of the sky box (I've activated the power from the hidden menu). At this point I have it run through a booster and then piped it back through the existing cabling back to the 4 way splitter.

      Once at the splitter I want to be able to send the signal to two seperate rooms. I can get it through to one room perfectly but as soon as I try to get it into the second room it interferes and works in neither.

      Does anyone have any tips - am I boosting it at the wrong point.

      Any help much appreciated

      The signal is only a 9v power supply but you may find that the booster is pumping out too much juice. (yes,if you boost the signal too much it can give just as bad a picture as one caused by poor signal)
      You best bet would be to ditch the booster & fit one of these to the cable that goes to the booster,replacing the 4 way splitter (this does the job of both) with one of these & then each leg going to a TV or TV Link.

      Sky 4 Way Splitter Amplifier Signal Booster GBP24.99 All Inc

      then you can fit up to 4 red eyes into the mix.These are the best ones you can get;

      Antiference Black Flat Screen Infra Red Remote Eye

      Because the square bloce does not plug into the TV airial socket,it's less likely to break.

      A good explanation here:
      Split Digibox RF outlet for other TVs

      Also, if you are having magic eye problems, download the fitting instructions here:

      You would either have to get an Irish freesat from sky / ex-subscription card or add all the required channels using other channels (using other channels would give you no tv guide for those channels however).

      It is the card which regionalises your tv-guide, so an Irish card will give you Irish channels, a South-East England card will give you South-East England channels etc.
