Hi all,

I have a sky plus box, the problem began when I was getting the "no signal 28" error. Since then we had a sky engineer out who changed the lnb & 'dish!!' he said that he was 98% confident that this would cure the problem. I was not in when he told my wife this, however it didn't!
I have since invested in a sky HD box, and the same problem exists. I've gone through some of the tweaks & resets etc on this valuable site with no luck.

What is happening is that if you record a program on ITV, CH5 there are others, the recording fails. However if you record something at the same time on another channel the recording is successful! BBC is ok & works with a manual or planned recording. You can watch the channels (there are around 30 channels that are affexted like this) however if something is being recorded on say BBC the channel goes off!

So, I swapped the inputs around on the box (thinking maybe he has mixed them up) and we then get no sat signal to the said channels at all!! BBC, CH4 etc. are ok!!

I'm pulling my hair out with this one. I hope someone on here can help.

You obviously have only one working LNB output. Possibly a faulty cable? Only way to find out is to replace the cable.

hi thanks for the reply. I would have thought that if that was the case then nothing would work on that output? I will swap round the outputs then the cable.

Could be a faulty LNB but you stated that it had been changed. That only leaves the cable.
