No signal/technical error on certain channels

      Hi All
I really hope someone can help as I'm at my wits end!! I know this query has been posted a few times but I have tried doing as suggested, services 401 lnb off 22Khz off etc, unscrewing lead at back off box, unplugging box, plugging back in etc but to no avail. I was getting either the no signal received or the there is a technical eror with this channel box now seem to be just getting no signal box on certain channels, yet when i go into the signal test area of services there is a signal but when i then return to the channel still no signal rx??!!!!

Anybody got any ideas? What actually is the lnb lead/connector, not a very technical minded female.

Give us some examples of channels which work and ones which dont.
The signal test only looks at one frequency so isn't a check if any particular channel has problems.

It sounds like an LNB issue.

LNB is the bit on the end of the dish, the cable goes from this to the back of your box (will have 2 if on sky plus)

you could try doing a software download to the box, make sure you have a good signal on your signal test- turn off the power, hold down the BACKUP BUTTON and then turn on the power.. you should get a message on screen and should take about 10mins to download - other than this it could be box failure..

Re: No signal/technical error on certain channels

Thanks all for the help, the channels affected are 107, 108, 110,126, 128, 129, 130, 133, 150 & 152. I will try doing the software download. I have got just the standard sky box.

Don't think i can get to the dish to check the cables as i haven't got a ladder and it's not close enough to upstairs window.
Any other checks i can do? All help is gratefully received.

Pretty much every channel you mention (except one) is on High band Horizontal.
To find out whether its your box, do you know anyone else with Sky that you could take your box to and try? If so and the box works at your friends house then its your LNB. If the same channels do not work at your friends then its your box at fault.
