Obviously an on-line version means I can use the 'find' function in Word, but with the printed version I had no choice but to read through every channel until I found it.

Should it be done by 'genre' (ie the basis that Sky use to help people find there channel) or should be it A-Z (again an option in the Sky planner to aid finding your channel quickly).
That's true, but I don't mind, as I have plenty of time to look for something to do in order to make some people happy, like my parents for an example, that way, if they're happy, then I'm happy too!

I wish Sky have done something like this, otherwise both Skyfan and I won't be doing this in the first place, but its done now since I need one badly. As for the printed version, that's the idea of it, but DON'T have to read every single channel, you just have a quick glimpse through it, like I do. I just look through one whole row across by row, and each row have a total of 40 channels, with Red and Blue pattern, making it easier to glimpse through the channels quicker.

Skyfan's on-line version has much more features, I'm hopefully that it quite nearly the same as EPG's format e.g. 10 numbered channel layout, that way, its makes much easier for people to use, since some people are used to in EPG format as they use Sky TV Quide quite a lot, like me.

      Just something to think about.

      Good work by the way.
Since, I already have a saved Word document on my hard drive, I just open it up, then use cut & paste function or drag and drop to move the channels around, overwrite the previous channel name / number, then I just highlight the whole coloums 1 & 3 to Blue and highlight whole columns 2 & 4 to Red and I do this only as soon when I find out that the Sky TV & Radio Channels are updated with new channels or some channels have been removed and it is available, by looking on EPG by using all "All Channels" option and do page down by page to see Sky have made any changes.

Oh, boy, I can't wait to see it. Let me know when its finished. Good work, keep it up!!

Actually, I need your help, when you're free, would you do the same for Sky Interactive Guide because I'm very curious that how much interactive services are available? And on-one has done one yet either or Sky in that matter, I sort of started it in Microsoft Excel, doing the same "printed version" format, but its sort of too complicated since it has too many options.

But you don't have to do it, if you don't want to do it.

Thanks... That's makes both my parents and my life more easier, that's exactly what I want to hear. I like this outcome, one person come up with an idea, then everybody will come with some more ideas, I love it!! As the saying goes.... Two heads are better than one!!
