Common TV Codes for your Sky Remote

I could be wrong but I don't think you will get a remote code for it, its not a TV. If you have it plugged into the Sky box, you should just be able to control it using the Sky remote. You might need to set the initial volume manually.

I think the product works the other way round - the output from the Sky box is fed to the device AUX in socket so you can use the Philips as an alternative audio playback of stereo sound from Sky. I don't imagine any remote codes will be available for this product.

That is what I thought, its little more than a glorified stereo speaker system. I have much the same thing with a pair of Creative speakers as the sound from the TV itself is not to good.

The code on this list does not work with newer Samsung TVs, you need to use 0088, that works best with most Samsung models.

I don't know about the most current Samsung models, but I use 0840 for mine.

I tried 0840 among a lot of other codes but it did not work, I have a Samsung LED smart TV and the only code I could get to work was 0088.

Which model do you have? Samsung have quite a few in their range at present.

It's the UE26EH4500WXXU 26" model. I tried Sky customer services who gave me a couple of codes which didn't work, so they told me to ask Samson customer services, all I got from them was an automated reply with no follow up. So I did the research myself.

So 0088 works with the UE26EH4500WXXU.

Hopefully I'll be in a position to check out the situation with another model soon. I was looking at the F6800 series but I am keeping my eyes open at the moment. However I know that 0840 works with a few Samsung TV models too.

Could you try the following:

Press <TV> <Play>

This should change the aspect ratio. Apparently some of the newer models do not have this option on their remotes now.

No it doesn't do any of those things, only volume, mute, channel, number buttons and standby, however I tried the same buttons on the sky remote for my Toshiba TV and it does except the "i" brings up the menu.

After a long quest i have found a code that works but with one flaw. The code is 1872 and turns on and off the tv but the volume does not work instead it brings up the menu but by chance i found that if you press tv and then the information button this allows you to use the left and right arrow buttons either side of the select button for the volume. Hope this helps.
