Common TV Codes for your Sky Remote

Hi Everyone

think this is the right forum to ask about my remote....ok remote worked then stopped, yes batteries changed and sorted code and it is going again, but then the record button and reminder button does not work any more...everything else does, cleared it all down and got everything going again but the record and remider still do not work....any suggestions folks? I have a remote thanks just an update for my questions re remote and record issue, my remote is fairly new!

Is the red light coming on when you press the record button? If it is, try a Sky+ planner rebuild. Press Services, 001, Select, 7, Select twice. This often fixes small problems and usually speeds the EPG up a bit. If the light is not coming on you can try cleaning the inside of the remote as explained in another thread you are contributing to.

Jacqui, you say it's newish? If your equipment & contract with Sky is less than a year old, then should be under warranty, so contact Sky for tech help and possible replacement.

Hi. I've just bought an LG 42LK450U and I can't find the Sky remote code for it. It is driving me crackers! Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is for both apsil & buschqueen (and anyone else who may wish to check this link first):

Please could you try this site first: Sky.com - Find your remote control code

Then carefully follow the procedure on the inside of cover the battery compartment on the controller and press <Select> once complete.

For clarity, the procedure is as follows for the Sky+HD & SkyHD remotes (I don't have any older remotes to hand to be able to comment on those):

1. Press <tv>
2. Press and hold <select> & <Red> together for about 2 seconds and the red LED will flash twice
3. Dial the 3 or 4 digit code on the numeric keypad and the red LED will flash twice again
4. Press <select>

To test, try changing the volume of the TV.

If you have tried this link, and your TV isn't listed, or a similar model is not available, the please feel free to ask for help. Many TVs are already known to have similar requirement to other TVs which are listed.

There are some hidden additional features available for different TVs. For example on my own, whilst the remote is in TV mode, pressing the <Play> button will change the aspect ratio.

<Help> allows me to change the source (i.e. Scart, HDMI, Tuner)

<Backup> removes any on-screen menus which may have been displayed
