Yes, FireFox has one, or its FireFox' plugin.

I know I have installed one on FF, I wish I could get a grammar one as mine is dreadful.

      Re: Sky Sub Price Rise?

After reading this thread I dug my 'Customer letter' out of the bin, I don't normally bother reading it as it is usually full of 'back slapping and self congratulation'. I was on the Connect (5) until a few days ago and am now on Mid. The letter says my TV sub is going up to 45, I take Movies and Sport. According to the letter, my total cost, not including Sky Talk is going up from 48.50 at present to 62.00 However as I am enjoying a special Broadband offer it will only be 57.60 My payments for August will be 48.55 and from September 57.60 (even more) It does not take someone with a degree in accountancy to work out that I should be going up to 50.00, so I am going to dash off a letter letting them know what I think of there arithmetic.

Im sure if you read back in this thread, Somewhere there was a mention that those with special Broadband bundles would get a separate communication of some sort detailing your actual charges including the Broadband offer,
As apparantly, The Broadband deal was excluded from the Computer that generates the bill or something.

Don't worry about it mate as I am/was in the same position as you. I was only the old 5 Connect product but the letter failed to take this into account as they had me paying 17 for it. A few days before the letter arrived I moved over to Mid anyway.

I have said it before but Sky really need to get their act together and stop sending out these misleading letters. I have been with Sky since last October and they are still sending out inaccurate ones.

I spoke to a nice lady at Sky who told me that the 5 connec tpackage is covered for up to 6 months (until Sept 07) when the exchange should be active and all people should be moved over, that is why the Sept rate does not take this in to account.

She did reassure me though that if the exchange was not ready the 5 connect would be extended.

      Re: Sky Sub Price Rise?

The point I wanted to make was that the letter actually mentions the discount I am getting for Broadband, but that the arithmetic was wrong. It seems that they are applying a 5.00 discount, instead of 12.00. I am aware that the discount for Connect only lasts 6 months, but as I am now on Mid, it does not bother me. Several members have been told verbally, that it will be extended if required.

No doubt the left hand will let the right hand know what it is doing before long

Under the Sky digital Subscription Contract we can increase the prices for the Stand-alone Premium Channels at any time during the Minimum Term. However, in all other cases we can only increase the relevant Subscription Payment once during the Minimum Term. This increase won't affect you during the first 60 days of your subscription to your chosen service(s) and will not be more than either 10% of your subscription or the increase in the UK Retail Price Index over the last 12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is greater. Under the Sky digital Subscription Contract, if at any time you change your chosen Option, you will pay the then current price for your new Option from the day you first receive it. The limits on price increases do not apply after the Minimum Term of the relevant contract
      They worded that badly

So should I be getting an increase seeing that I have only been with them a few months?

I did get the letter about the increase.

      Re: Sky Sub Price Rise?

The way I read it is that if you are within 60 days of starting the contract, the price will not be increased. After 60 days are up, any increase will apply.

this is the bit that bothers me a bit-
The limits on price increases do not apply after the Minimum Term of the relevant contract
Does this mean that after your 12 months is up they can increase the price by whatever amount they want?
