      Re: Sky Sub Price Rise?

My Sky magazine made a quick dash across my table on its way to the recycling crate. Just the standard letter detailing how wonderful this months sky viewing was going to be and no mention of any price changes.

Currently have Sky+ downstairs, standard digibox upstairs, 2 mixes with no premium channels, Max BB and sky telephone.

No notice of price change to any of these services.

      Re: Sky Sub Price Rise?

I got my Sky Mag yesterday and my "personalised" letter was there warning of a imminent price increase. My bill jumps 1.00 to 53.00.

I have Sky 6 Mix plus Movies and BB Mid.

I plan to dump the movies as free Sky+ is upon us and confirmed in my last bill which shows the Sky+ element 0.00 from 1st July 2007....

Poor service, poor speed, appalling accounts, value for money, Yes, but I would like quality, customer service, no scam numbers, so roll on my contract expiry. And I am/was a Sky supporter.

      Re: Sky Sub Price Rise?

Funny how I never get this magazine!

Anyhoo, I pay Sky 25 a month at the mo for some rubbish mix, a fugly standard Sky box (never used it) and ADSL Max. They're already 1 dearer than BE Unlimited so if my price goes up then I'd be better off moving to Be by 2 a month for ADSL2. No long contract either.

If Sky coughed up a 'free' or reduced Sky+ box (I could record stuff) then I'd stay for sure but when I phoned last week I was told "...they don't do offers...".

      Re: Sky Sub Price Rise?

I got the letter this morning. I was on the 26 package with the SPECIAL offer of movies for 1 a month for 3 months. My monthly price is now going to be 31.80. How does that compute???

Also how can they still sell the package to new people at 26 on their website?? Or will this increase in September?

It might be because you are billed half way through a month when the prices do go up although ignoring your 1 offer I can't work out how it goes up by that amount.

      It will increase in September.
