      Cancelling Sky! Different stories from staff!

      I've contacted Sky recently about cancelling my TV and phone with them. My TV contract expires on 1st March 2010 and my phone on 19th March. I phoned today to give notice (I thought more than the standard 31 day would be okay) Not so, Sky told me I have ring up exactly 31 days prior to the end of each part of the contract to cancel each part separately. Surely there must be an easier way of doing this? Has anybody got any advice? I assumed that as long as I was giving them more than the required notice period there shouldn't be an issue.

      I also had an email from a previous enquiry stating that I had to give 30 days notice in writing!

      Hey buddy!

      What your looking at is a 31 day notice period whereby it will cancel down automatically after that period for the TV. Unfortunately you can't put in more notice as once its put through the system it will apply it there and then, hence why you have to do it exactly 31 days before if you know the date you want it to finish.

      Hi you need to talk to Customer Relations and tell what you are trying to do. Also the date you want everything to expire. Customer relations 08442 411 714 or you can try 02077053000 and ask for Customer Relations hope it all goes well

      cancellations within the 12 month contract wont be dealt with over the phone....needs to be in writing....so no point calling...

      Hi you had better tell the many Connect Customers who have and put threads and post on Skyuser with their details and problems which is Sky Connect Throttling from 5pm till Midnight

      I'm not cancelling within the 12 months, I'm cancelling at the end of the 12 months. I did cancel my BB Connect last October when I was getting 125kb download speeds and did it without paying them a penny by quoting their own T&Cs to them. I'm going to call the numbers listed above.
