Its not going to be released anytime soon and its still being trialled so don't expect goodies.
Anyone that's a part of project Ethen has signed a NDA and if they stick it and keep their gobs shut its a win, win for all.
But I dough the silly arses will and as usual gossip and tit bits prevail.Disclaimer: The views expressed here are my own and in no way represent the views or policies of my employer.

it will be very funny if it is 2.4ghz only with no ethernet support, obselete technology already.

Re: New sky Q box
Seen elsewhere reports of sky retail units getting upgraded now by engineers with 4k screens and installing new lnbs to their setups.
Those retail staff have been prepped in preparation for a new product launch soon.

Re: New sky Q box
Read this thread and agree it will be interesting to see what comes out and the initial price point.
I also found some of the comments on the first Telegraph article interesting as some people are pointing to the Foxtel iQ3 box (basically Sky Australia), being potentially the blueprint the new SkyQ box will be based on. Found a review of the iQ3 on techradar if anyone is interested: Foxtel iQ3 Hands On
Might be a complete red herring though for all I know!

Re: New sky Q box
I actually want sky to stay on old tech, round me is lots of sky users, and I have only 2 VM routers competing with me on 5ghz vs 27 routers on 2.4ghz.
In a few years when mainstream isps have rolled out lots of these devices 5ghz will need replacing unless they allow the higher channels which many vendors are now blocking in the EU.
