      TP LINK Archer C2600

      Hi All.

I have mistakenly bought a TP LINK C2600 cable router (bought in a rush, didn't read the desc. properly lol). Can I get this working on a normal telephone line connection?

      Many thanks in advance.

      Ian

Well it has no modem, so you'll need something to do that job. You could buy a seperate modem or use your existing Sky unit to handle that. Can you not exchange it?

      Thanks for prompt answer marjohn56.

I could quite easily exchange it (bought through Amazon) but it was a crackin' price at 120 and can't seem to find anything similarly specced, for less than 200. Would I still get the same performance from it, just using another modem, or is there something you could recommend?

      Many thanks. Ian.

Tplink vr900 would do you, and be Sky VDSL capable should you wish to go to fibre.

      Re: TP LINK Archer C2600

Couldn't you use your existing Sky router in bridge mode, and therefore use the TP Link just for wireless / Ethernet connectivity?
