Question Broadband keeps turning off and turning back on

i call sky he test the line tell me looks like I need an engineer my in the same breath said no let's try something swap their broadband Cable from the BT socket to the sky hub reset it hub and attach master socket mk2 off used filter still dropped tell me to screw it all back together said looks like it's stable and it's more reliable if you get any more problems call back I came off the phone in one telephone call it went back off so i call back he did more testing and then tell me you could buy new hub from sky

i had mk2 the filter for about two years now should I buy new one as well

I just live chat to http://www.run-it-direct.co.uk very helpful I ordered mk3 just to be on the safe side just waiting on the new hub to be delivered hopefully that should solve the problem if not need to be getting engineer

Unless your line is suffering from REIN, a Mk3 plate will do no good. It may even reduce your speed. There does seem to be a problem with your line, your download is not to bad, but your upload could be better.

      Hi Steele11.

Based on the router stats you've posted, it looks like there isn't any difference in performance between the mk2 & mk3 faceplates.

Is the line still dropping or has it been stable for the last 3 days?

Re: Broadband keeps turning off and turning back on

Yes in the last three days it's started to get stable I didn't notice it is dropping on the old hub mk2 I think I had one disconnect on the 3 day

but sky automatically said yes and the last couple days It's been dropping When I called them to ask for help he said that change the hub

I for the best option would be to change the filter As well I didn't know mK3 could've made it worse one of the users tell try on the old one mk2

Only thing I've noticed is my mum stair claimer there is a big box where the power goes into the mix a buzzing noise I have disabled the chair turn the power off as my mum is in hospital so I've got extra time to test hospital equipment but I'm not sure how to read my stats this that's if it's good or bad so that's Router Statistics with the power switched off on the step claimer
