      Re: SR 101 or 102

There is little difference between the two, although there are a couple of extra hardware changes internally that can improve the SR102 over the SR101, beside the VDSL Modem.

As you are on Fibre, you could configure the SR102 to connect via the BTO Modem and not use the SR101. Since the SR101 would definitely require the BTO Modem, you would have the best of both worlds.

If the disconnections continue then you know that it isn't the SR102.

      Re: SR 101 or 102

well, I tried it, and while the disconnections still happen, they occur with much less frequency. I get one now say every couple of days with my SR101 vs several a day with my SR102. I wonder its to do with the fact that the 101 doesnt have a VDSL model built into it, so there is less interference. I have seen vids online where someone takes apart a sky hub and puts a filter inside the hub.

      I wouldn't advise it.
As mains voltage is present in the Sky hub any unauthorised modifications could present a serious fire or electric shock hazard at the hub itself or from any directly connected appliance such as computer, telephone etc.
