I phoned Sky Technical for advice on router - "was it Bonjour enabled/compatible".
The guy I spoke to did not know what Bonjour was - so this did not bode well - I cannot be the only person in UK trying to 'AirPrint' from an Ipad, thru a Sky Sagem router to an airprint enabled printer!
After much searching and asking his colleagues he basically could not say one way or tother!!!

Trying to speak to Xerox but they won't talk to me until they can confirm that the printer is covered by warranty. Apparently the 'Supplier' has to notify them directly to initiate the warranty - me filling in the on-line registration is not good enough.

      Why is life so difficult??
Was this the number for xerox support you used?
This is what is printed on the xerox printer I have used in the past, just asked someone who works there.
      0370 900 5501

That printer definitely works with iOS devices.
But, as we have tried, something is not ticked or passing correctly, could be the router?
I see you mentioned in some earlier posts some had problems with sagem routers and airprint, do you have any links. Might throw something up.

You could always go and try a bog standard epson wireless printer (like the xp-215 series) that is airprint compatible and plug that in and would take your sagem out of the picture

One last thought for now, is your firmware pretty standard on the router, not tweaked in anyway?
Just maybe a tweaked or alternative firmware may be disabling something.

It looks like it is the iPad that is at fault. Just had a friend with his iPad down and he could print to my printer over my network easily.

      Back to Currys tomorrow!!!!!

      Re: Printing from an iPad

      Problem fixed.

An hour on a chat-line to Apple resolved the problem by doing a full wipe/install from iTunes by plugging iPad into pc - took 20 minutes just to download the new/replacement version of IOS.

My wife can now print her own stuff!
