Sky are rolling out the firmware update across the country. Mine has now updated and I've been able to update the table as a result with the DSL Firmware version too.

Sky's practise is to not update everyone all at once, just in case something were to go wrong in a really bad way. Their call centres couldn't handle 5 million people all calling at once.
hang on, I have the SR102 not the SR101, is that one updating too? maybe that's why I get so many resyncs?

Not yet. The next update is still in testing. You may have IPv6 compatibility with your existing firmware. Try going here -
Test your IPv6. it will show whether you have or not. You should score 9/10 as the Sky DNS servers have not been updated to IPv6 yet.

If you have IPv6 the only thing you are waiting on is the extra DDNS options. I use dyndns.org and find mine always fails to authenticate anyway. I rely on the PC client updater.

Ok, a few things here that should be of interest to you.

Elsewhere on the forum the issue of the resyncs was raised and you provided some feedback on this. Currently I have no further information on this but someone may be in direct contact with you at some data. This could be when they have a new firmware that they would like you to test.

The recent firmware updates have been for the Sagem 2504 and the Sky Hub SR101. Both have been related to the introduction of IPv6, with the SR101 version having a new look and the addition of support for two more dynamic IP providers too.

They are working on the SR102 firmware, but I have no further news at this time.

It is possible your line has not yet been enabled for IPv6. Mine has as I am in the Test group.

      Re: Sky Router Firmware

Very likely that's the reason. My connection also scores 0/10 - the main reason for that is "No IPv6 address detected"

Although the 3.45.1133.R firmware that arrived here last week on my SR101 provides support for IPv6, the Sky network is not yet assigning an IPv6 address to the router. Presumably that's only happening for the test group. However, those devices on my LAN that support IPv6 do now have internal IPv6 addresses assigned by the router.

Any win O/S from Vista up will be fine.
Be careful though with IOS devices.
      Do not try forcing anything.
The iOS9 dev beta usres have been reporting some oddities on their local networks. Suspect like other ISPs (mainly abroad as I think sky are the only ones trialling IPv6) things are starting to happen and local networks are getting in a muddle. Not sure why but having anything on a 5ghz network fails. But then 5ghz is still flaky for many.

      Re: Sky Router Firmware

All is OS X and iOS 8 here. After the SR101 firmware upgraded last week, I didn't initially notice that the router had also assigned IPv6 addresses to devices on the LAN - only realised when I started looking in more detail...

      Re: Sky Router Firmware

OK, so for the SR102, is 2.1r.3761.R the IP6 ready firmware, or is something else coming down the tubes soon? I only ask, because the reason I upgraded to fibre was to get a new router that had port forwarding working. If Sky now go and flash a new firmware onto the SR102 that screws up port forwarding, I will be seriously annoyed!
