      It is for real.

I'm not sure about the roll out plan at this stage, but I've seen a handful of people posting about it in the Pro forums.

Seems odd. when you say SR102 beta, do you mean they have another beta running for the sr102? or a new sr102?

      Re: Sky Router Firmware

Well, My firmware was flashed at 3.30am back to 3761..... also having a weird syslog message.

I just re-flash back with a 'backupsettings' I had from Jan 2015 and it took. I did this because it lost all my settings for wifi channel passwords etc.

      Oct 29 03:28:39 syslog: Counters: rxError=197 rxNoBuf=0 rxfragerr=0 rxrunt=197 rxnoscb=0
      Oct 29 03:28:39 syslog: Current wireless channel : 6
      Oct 29 03:28:39 syslog: Wifi Monitor:Restarting wlan
      Oct 29 03:31:40 syslog: Counters: rxError=370 rxNoBuf=0 rxfragerr=0 rxrunt=370 rxnoscb=0
      Oct 29 03:31:40 syslog: Current wireless channel : 6

It displays that message every 5 mins so is LOADS of them.

Since 'restoring' from my back up file all seems ok.

Speed hasnt changed, but that's because the hub isnt running the connection anymore!

It's a good job the update didn't happen at midnight or 4:45!

I've read a few other accounts of SR102's being flashed back to 2.1r.3761.R this morning so it looks like sky have finally taken the decision.

      Re: Sky Router Firmware

I would like my ping back tho

On the plus side, I just got off the phone to sky, credited me back 2 months fibre due to loss of service and that I had to purchased a modem to run the line!

I think I'm being thick, but what did you mean by the midnight and 4.45? I can clearly see the ping is lower.... does it mean it was updated then?

No those were the 2 switchover points, which for me would destroy any download i had in progress at the time.

      Re: Sky Router Firmware

It seems that my firmware was changed during the night and my version is now A2pv6F038m.24j. I relished this when none of my wireless products no longer worked as the password had changed. With my wired Mac I change that password back with no trouble.

However I came across a problem when I tried to change the router admin password. I entered the 'new' password and pressed return key and it just hanged. Then I just could not enter an admin area as it took neither the default password nor my 'new' password. I had to do a full reset the the SR102 but I am now left with the default password.

      Re: Sky Router Firmware

My SR102 has also reset to the 3761 firmware, resulting in the unfortunate loss of it's LAN IPv6 capabilities. The configuration appears to have been wiped, which is a shockingly bad practice. Maybe this was why I got re-prompted with the 'Active Choice' page and the tips for new connections. Interestingly it appears to not have affected the WAN IP, which did not change despite the reverted firmware.
