      Collision Pkts -- What is this- mine show over 1700.

      Anyone explain what this is, also getting constant drop in connection on new hub which have had for about 2 weeks.

      It basically means that more than one packet is being sent at the same time by different devices. This causes 'collisions' and the packet is either sent back to the originating device for retransmitting or discarded. In theory wireless clients check the 'air' is clear before transmitting. Where 2 devices are so far apart that they do not detect one and other and try to transmit at the same time, this causes a collision. It is not very common on ethernet.
