      SR102 and Address Reservation

Just been setting up a few fixed ip addresses on my LAN using the address reservation menu in the SR102.
Why oh why does the SR102 need to reboot itself after setting up the fixed ip addresses!!!
And after rebooting, my download speed has decreased from 12966 to 12041 !!!
It has been on 12966 for months!

      Broadband Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed12041 kbps 921 kbps
Line Attenuation 35.0 dB 20.1 dB
Noise Margin 6.1 dB 10.10 dB

Should I reboot the router myself in the early hours of the morning to boost my speed?
And it would be nice if the SR102 could renew the ip address reservations without having to reboot itself!

      Re: SR102 and Address Reservation

Similar thing happened to me recently.

Had 22120kbps sync for 6 months, then had to reboot to get new DMZ settings to stick.
Have 21751kbps now, so not too bad.

Target noise margin is obviously 6.0db, so if you see it at, say 6.3db or higher, a reboot should bring most if not all that speed back.

Something i've noticed since the new DLM came in to play though, is that my margin hardly ever changes now.
For some reason, if it does go high, it'll be within the 3 or 4 hours after a reboot & only in the morning.
Sundays seem to be more likely where i am (near high street, so less noise from shops perhaps?)

If you are adding multiple addresses hit cancel and it wont reboot after each address added, just hit apply after the last added address.
