Re: Extract username and password from sr102

Hey guys, i received my SR102 this week, and my line went active today however I'm looking to go back to using my draytek modem/airport combo. I've tried the above video to get the user credentials, however it's not providing the user name and password. Instead, when i copy option 61 as printable text i'm getting "=<lo".

I've also tried getting the details by putting the router into WANOE mode but that gave me the same result.

I'm wondering if Sky's new Shield malarkey is interfering?

Any tips or assistance would be very much appreciated. Since moving to Sky equipment my speed has dropped from 12mb to 3mb!!

      Cheers, Dan

Re: Extract username and password from sr102

I doubt if Sky have done anything to prevent this working. Try disabling your AV, that may be interfering. Also have a look at this comprehensive thread, you may find the answer there, where some have reported similar results to yours.-

Re: Extract username and password from sr102

      Hey all,

Can I assume that you are connecting into the WAN side of the SR102 via an Ethernet port?? If so, how did you manage this as the SR102 we have has a built in ADSL2+ port, not an Ethernet port (as per http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-r...-firmware.html).

I doubt I would be able to capture DHCP requests directed from the router to the WAN by connected to the LAN side.

      Cheers

Re: Extract username and password from sr102

You connect to the ethernet port. Although it has a built modems for Fibre or ADSL it will still connect to a fibre modem through an ethernet port, which is why you are able to extract the details. You may be able to get it from the WAN port if you have an RJ11 to RJ45 cable. I don't know if anyone has tried it.

Re: Extract username and password from sr102

Ok - I assume you mean the WAN ADSL port (there are obviously 4 other Ethernet port on the LAN side).

If an RJ45 (8pin) to RJ11 (4 pin ?) adapter is required, what are the pin connections? On the RJ45 side its:

      Pin No. Wire Colour Function
      1 WHITE/Orange Transmit Data+
      2 ORANGE/White Transmit Data-
      3 WHITE/Green Receive Data+
      6 GREEN/White Receive Data-

But I ma not sure of the RJ11 side.
