I think it should use Auto DHCP, but I may be wrong. Is your router capable of connecting' out of the box' or have have you flashed the router with WRT firmware?

I think your going to need an ADSL router, not and Ethernet only router.

Yeah, so if you want to replace the SR102 (an VDSL router) you will need you own third party VDSL router. There are some out their depending on what you want and if you want to replace the stock firmware or not. TP-Link devices are inexpensive (http://uk.tp-link.com/products/?categoryid=203)

You are not still using ADSL, the SR102 has a built in vDSL modem which is what you are using to connect. There are a few vDSL routers which can connect direct, some of which are noted here-

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/askin...sky-fibre.html

Many prefer the 2 box solution as it allows you to mess around with the router without effecting the modem connection.

The SR102 is a VDSL/ADSL router which allows it to connect using vDSL or ADSL. An ADSL router on its own will not connect to fibre so it is pointless trying one.
