      New Sky Hub offer

      Hi,


      I have been trying to find an answer for the last 2 days with customer services & even done research on th internet and I am getting mixed responses.

      I have the old Sagem Router and when I sign to my Sky account I am eligable for the free upgrade to the new Sky Hub.

      My question is:

      Do existing customers have to resubscribe to get the offer? Yes or No?

      If you are an existing customer you do not have to extend your contract to receive the new Hub. Get in fast as many are having difficulties claiming the Hub or the booster. You have to run the new hub for at least a week before you can claim a booster should you require it.

      Thank you for your response, I had mixed answers, even some of the ones saying yes sounded unsure or had to ask a colleague. I haven't ordered it yet.

      I can also confirm that you do not take out a new subscription if you get one.

      If you use wireless, it's likely you'll notice an increase in performance straight away.

      Not bad for 0.00.

      Also, don't forget that if after setting up the new router you still have wireless blackspots in the home, the sky booster will also be available to order for free approx 1 week after you've connected the new router.

      I do use wireless for my phone, it drops connection a lot in a few places and my flat is not that big. Although partly it seems to be the latest Android OS that has the problem even though people have tried to fix it (I have a custom ROM installed). I have tried different channels, used an app on my phone to help, ended up leaving it on Auto...

      When I look in the router settings I can see at how much data gets lost compared to ethernet.

      These hubs should've been available for free from the start. My Sagem router has had the boot-up problem for ages, I have to turn it on anything bewtween 2 - 4 times for it to work properly, I mentioned that to them about a year ago & they said I would had to pay for the replacement. Surely part of the contract should be to supply decent working equipment along with the broadband service, would that not be part of the deal we pay for?!?!?

      Other than that I've been happy with the broadband service.

      Forgot to mention, when I first got my laptop, I used wireless for a few weeks, still had the same amount of dropping data as well, hence I switched back to Ethernet.

      I have the old sagem, but in "mySky accout" the new router is 69.
      Why can I not get one? #feelingleftout.

      My router here:- Do I qualify?
