      Sr101 IP Adress reservation table problems

      I have Sky Fibre unlimited pro with a Sky SR101 router. I had a number of devices attached to my old router with reserved IP addresses with my old set-up when I installed the new router I set up the reserved IP address table with all the devices and their associated MAC addresses. The problem is that the router seems to ignore the table for my Slingbox - I have a reserved address for my Slingbox but the router has a assigned a different IP address to it - I've tried rebooting to see if that changes it but it still doesn't use the the reserved IP address. Also when I look at the attached devices table there are a number of devices attached that don't show up (typically other routers being used as wireless extenders) - are these known problems? Is there something specific I need to do to make the router assign the correct IP address to my slingbox? Does anyone else have a Slingbox working with the SR1010 router?

      You may need to switch off the Slingbox, then then router. The power on the router. Allowing the router to settle down first, finally switch on the Slingbox.

      Scubbie - thanks for the suggestion but that doesn't seem to work. I even set the range for the address table so that the assigned address for the Slingbox would fall outside of it. Rebooted both devices (Router first) and it still assigned the same IP address - which was outside the range set for the DHCP server - I'm baffled.

      Any more suggestions anyone?

      That suggests the Slingbox has a fixed address. That's the only way it will get an address outside the DHCP range.
