Re: New Sky Hub for customers with old routers

Hi all and Happy new Year.
I'm not sure whether I have read this thread correctly but the way I have interpreted it is that anyone with an old router (Sagem SR101?) can have a new router for free. The reason I am asking is because I have been experiencing daily dropouts on my Sky fiber. Yesterday I rang support (after doing the things that support had previously asked me to do before they condemned my router such as factory resets on both the Sky router and the BTO router) and they are now sending me out a new router but it is costing me 69. Now I could have argued the toss with retentions etc but I didn't for various reasons. But if a new router is available for free would anyone know why Sky want me to pay for one. I am assuming that the new router will work with fiber which Vannus suggests it will.

      Pete

Only old routers, the wireless G ones are being replaced free. You had a wireless N router so don't qualify for a free replacement.

      Argued with retention?
At this time of year the last thing Retention advisors want is *another* argument!
A free Hub would have been a very easy discussion.

It would have been a Hub v1.0 but the 69 should have got you a Hub v2.0 if you care.

The first router offered for early Fibre customers was the Sagem 2504N, later customers got the SR101, customers in the last few months got the SR102.
So you wouldn't have been eligible for the free router upgrade at all if you have Fibre.
