      Exclamation New Netgear router.

      Hello
I have had sky BB for almost 4 years now and at the beginning I tossed out the stinky Sagem modem and replaced it with a brilliant Netgear one. I want to upgrade the old Netgear with a more powerful (better range) one but it looks like the old password and user mane don't work.
I used the website https://www.cm9.net for the first password. It's asking for the old Sagum addresses and as I said earlier I tossed that old shoe out ages ago. Is it possible to obtain a new username and password for my new modem, sans Sagum?
Nothing malicious here, just wand a better modem for my working life.

      Thanks in advance

No you need the username and password from a Sky router, Sagem have nothing to do with it. Your cheapest way would be to buy a Sky router from eBay and use the details from that.

Alternately if you agree to sign up for a further 12 months you may get a new Hub from Sky for the cost of p & p. I don't know if they are still doing the deal, but it is worth a try.

      Hi Isitme
Just had a look on ebay and found "Sky Wireless Router Sagemcom v6 - ADSL modem + Wireless N-150" for 13 including postage. Sounds like the best way forward.
      Thank you.

The contract renewal for a free router offer has been discontinued recently. Managers and retentions can still send free routers, but not always. Otherwise it's back to 69, or 39 if you object.

      Re: New Netgear router.

Sadly the offer which allowed the people in the call centres to send out an SR101 for the cost of postage and agreeing to stay with Sky Broadband for a further 12 months has ceased.

Whilst it may be at the discretion of the management or retentions to supply a replacement router for free, this is no longer as easy as it once was.
