      Re: LastPass & Sky router?

Will this work with wifi passwords? LastPass is an online service and you can only use it when you are on line. If you are just entering a password to access the wifi, you will not be on line so it will not be much good.

      Re: LastPass & Sky router?

Thanks for reply. I think that's for the browser plugins but If you install the program onto your hd there is a way of using lastpass to store your wifi passwords, I think it's a wee bit fiddly and I just wondered if anybody on here had managed to do it successfully?

      This might explain it better:

      Re: LastPass & Sky router?

I'm with you now, I think. Although it will not automatically be entered when you want to log on, it can be kept in your secure vault, away from prying eyes.

I keep mine in the Secure Notes section of the Vault.

For anyone else reading this, I would strongly recommend using LastPass to protect your passwords.

      Re: LastPass & Sky router?

Yes this is entirely possible and easy to do.

If you want to save something like this then do the following.
From the Lastpass vault, click on (left menu) Add Secure Note.
Or from the lastpass plugin on FF etc, its in the dropdown.

Give it a name and fill in the wifi details etc.

Then its there when you need it - and it "can" also be made available when offline.
Your lastpass data can be saved locally, on USB stick etc. Obviously its not as convenient though.

It is possible yes, but is it advisable? One of the main security points of using LastPass is that your passwords are kept on line and not locally where they could be compromised.

It's heavily encrypted so it should be fine as long as you have a strong master password.
