      New SR101 & Xbox360

      Hi all,

      My SR101 finally arrived, and it SEEMS to be working with mostly all my wireless kit with the exception of the Xbox360. The Xbox will see the hub, let me connect to it, and the network test on the 360 works fine, but when I try to connect to my account it'll just sit there not actually doing anything.. Is this a NAT related issue do you think? And if so, would the guide posted somewhere else in the forum (For older routers) do the trick?

      Any clever ideas?

      Are you talking about the network test or XBox live test? Have you tried the latter?

      Have you set up port forwarding on the router and set a static IP for the XBox? Might not help with connecting to your account, but does help with NAT issues.

      Try turning them off. Turn your router on and wait for a connection, then turn the Xbox on. Check it gets an IP address OK, then try again.

      This is the Xbox live test, goes through all the steps, network, internet, Xboxlive and connects to all of them, but when I try to go online with an account it'll just sit there then eventually come back saying can't connect. I'll try rebooting everything tonight. Not tried any port forwarding etc just yet, had to go to work annoyingly! Thanks for the tip though.

      Annother option, but unlikely ... Could your password have expired on the account you are using? That could explain why the Live test passes, but hangs on logging in to your account.

      You could try putting the Xbox IP address into the routers DMZ. That would rule out firewall problems.

      I know it's no help to you but I've had no problems connecting since I got the sky hub. My sons playing Fifa on line at the moment.
