Re: Ordered a Sky Hub and given an 'activation' date (but already have broadband)

Thanks everybody for your help. I tried the router in the master socket and got the same stats. Phoned up Sky and they re-configured my line and activated DLM, so these are my stats:

      Broadband Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9077 kbps 797 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.0 dB 23.5 dB
Noise Margin 6.9 dB 16.16 dB

Pleased with the increase in download speed, they didn't think that it was possible to change the upload speed but suggested it may change as with the DLM being activated on the line.

Hopefully it will stay at this speed!

      Thanks again :-)

For your current download speed, I think that is the normal upload speed. Hopefully DLM is still optimising your connection and both will improve. Things do depend on your line quality though.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

To be honest, this is better than I ever expected it to be. I was averaging 2mb download speeds to AOL!
