      A 50 minute wait can be experienced. I was hoping that it had been shortened, but not to worry.

      It is just the initial connection. Afterwards any reconnections are within normal time spans.

      Agreed, which is why I thought that they had worked on it.

      It makes you wonder what is happening, the connections are made at the speed of light, surely it doesn't take nearly an hour to check a data base to see if it is OK to connect? Does this only happen when you change the router or on all first time connects? I can't see a BTO engineer hanging around for an hour waiting to see is the router is working OK. I wonder if it has something to do with 'lease' times? No connection till the previous lease has expired.

      I don't know the technical reasons, but I also wonder if it is why I had problems trying to use my own router with the Sky Hub details.

      One other thing I would point out I noticed is that within the Hub GUI when checking it was on "Auto" or "WANOE" it tells you to make sure the LAN cable from the modem is plugged into the bottom port. But when it goes through the "self heal" process it tells you to plug it into the top port.

      Mine is running fine on the bottom one, anyone using the top one?

      The installation guide shows one port, the GUI shows another.

      It makes no difference.

      Just ordered my hub. Asked the missus if I could have it as a early birthday present.
      She said, why would I waste my birthday present on a router?
      Sometimes I think she doesn't know me at all
