      Debrand/Unlock netgear DG834GT

I have got 6 years old Sky Netgear DG834GT router that I am trying to debrand/unlock to use it for different ISP. I have tried the following tutorial but I had no luck

      Flashing your Sky Router firmware

I have tried to do it on my desktop PC running WINXP 32 but had no luck and I have tried it on my laptop running WIN7 (run as admin and in WINXP compatibility mode) but still no luck.

Can someone please advise me that is there any other or better method to unlock this router? Or am I missing something.

Regard and advance thanks for replies

Saying you have no luck does not tell us much. In what way was the flash failing?

Some found that having a second adapter installed helps, even with XP. The MS Loopback driver is suitable for this purpose.

      Re: Debrand/Unlock netgear DG834GT

router just stays in recovery mode after clicking on upgrade button. I left it there for more than one hour but nothing happens.
I will try MS loopback driver method.

      Edit:
thanks mate, I just installed MS loopback driver (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839013) on WIN XP and after that I was able to debrand my router. Thanks for yr tip and reply. cheers
