      Re: Port Forwarding help

Thanks for the reply newsreader but i have the DG934 not the 834.

I have read through a lot of setup guides and still no joy.

Was hoping that you or someone else would be able to check my settings or something to try and solve this problem with me???

      Thanks

      Re: Port Forwarding help

Tried all that Isitme but when i check on Utor it still says that an error occured and that port 94.8.71.114 is not open/forwarded!!!

Even tried entering this as the port to forward and it gives me a message sayhing this is an illegal port????

      Thanks

I think this is to do with Sky Broadband as opposed to a router issue - thanks for any help again

      Re: Port Forwarding help

It has nothing to do with Sky broadband, many of us are using uTorrent with no difficulties. What I don't understand is your reference to "that an error occured and that port 94.8.71.114 is not open/forwarded!!!" That does not look like a port number to me, it is more like an IP address. Did you follow the instructions exactly, skipping nothing and using the port recommended by uTorrent?

You can also use UPnP if you wish and forget about portforwarding altogether.

      Re: Port Forwarding help

Apologies for the confusion Isitme - I have now setup a static IP but am still having problems with portforwarding.

How can i get Utorrent to recommend me a port again? I am using port 46218 as this is the port I have always used. It worked fine on my old router just not happening with this one.

      Thanks

      Re: Port Forwarding help

I think this will be referring to your PC's IP. Did you reserve its address in the router or give it a fixed address in the PC settings?

      Re: Port Forwarding help

All sorted again now thanks Isitme - For some reason my IP had changed from 0.2 to 0.3.

Only found this out by running ipconfig though.

      Working fine again now.

      Thanks
