      Re: Port Forwarding help

I've had the same problems as a few people on here. I've done absolutely everything written on the various tutorials, and still when I check if the port is forwarded on the utorrent website, and other port checking websites, they always say it's closed.

I don't know what else to do, it's driving me crazy.

Here are two screenshots, the first is of the services page, the next is of the firewall rules page. Is there anything wrong with those?

      What else could be wrong?

      PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

      Re: Port Forwarding help

      finally got it to work!

you lead me in the right direction so thank you.

I also had to go into

      ADVANCED > LAN IP SETUP

and then give the laptop using torrents an 'address reservation'

a step missing from every guide i've read.

      thank you though.

      finally argh

      Actually, one more question

Would I have to use different ports if I want to use different computers?

That's one way of doing it, but a lot of people only have one PC connected, and that is normally 192.168.0.2

Maybe we should do a guide for those that have more than 1 PC connected to the router and add that step.

Would I have to use different ports if I want to use different computers?
I would make a new rule with a new port for each PC and then add that PC's IP address to the rule. (and do the reservation for each one as well, so each PC always has the same IP address)

      Re: Port Forwarding help

      Hey people

      Just a quick question

Why when I have IP's reserved for my PS3, Home PC and laptop, like so:

When I click to add a new one, and whilst checking on the computer's themselves, do the IP's reserved not match the one's actually being used:

      I don't understand what's wrong?

      Thanks for any help.

      Re: Port Forwarding help

I have just activated IIS on my pc as I want to set up a personal webserver. However I cant activate port forwarding of port 80 to my PC to allow incoming connections. Mt DG834GT seems to allow the forwarding of other ports but not port 80. Anyone know how I do this?

      Re: Port Forwarding help

Why in PF help does it say to turn off UPnP but the UPnP in the router is enabled ?

Why do I have nothing in the Address Reservation area ?

Why was I requested to chance the IP from 192.168.0.2 to something "near" (I chose .20) ?

I see PF as correct but uT has frozen a few times in the last 24 hours. I'm PF on 49999 which I've used everywhere in Asia and around and had no problems but I don't think I've ever changed the IP address thing before.

      I'm on the Sagen 2504

      Re: Port Forwarding help

      Hi Gang,

Hope you lot can help me........ recently moved into my fiancee's place with her and after setting up the PC today I have discovered major troubles port forwarding wwith Sky BB base package! I used to be on AOL at my place and had no issues changing the settings and so on. This has me stumped though... i've read all the posts on here and still no joy!

Using a DG934G router and even though I have changed all the settings in the router correctly Utorrent still doesn't recognise the port as being open. I also test for some gaming companies and for the purpose of online testing I need to have ports forwarded - needless to say when i called Sky they said the firmware doesn't allow port forwarding - sorry sky, dont buy that!

      Any help????

      Cheers
