Please Help with wireless access point

Hi to all, please could someone help me with information about my linksys WAP54G wireless access point. I have a sky DG934G router connected upstairs to my computer via ethernet cable, I want to be able to connect the linksys access point in my living room to my broadband connection so I can connect it to my smart tv via ethernet cable, so I will be able to access the internet on my tv. Does anyone know what I will have to do to be able to use this Linksys access point as an internet connection for my tv using my sky broadband. If anyone can tell me how to link it to my sky router I would be really grateful, thanks yours Daz

Re: Please Help with wireless access point

You will find all you need to connect your device here-
Linksys by Cisco - WAP54G Support

You will have to change the IP address of the WAP to 192.168.0.254 and the Gateway to 192.168.0.1 to bring it into the Sky routers range. Otherwise just follow the documentation.

There are several notes which say this will only connect to another Linksys device, so you may have problems connecting to the Sky router, but it is worth trying. They may just be trying to put you off using other manufactures equipment.
