      Mer

I have been a SVBN customer since February 2011. I have the D-Link DSL-2640S router. It's not a problem, but I've noticed that I'm still connected by PPPoA and not MER. All other friends and family that are with Sky are on MER. Why haven't I been moved over? This is purely out of interest.

      Many thanks.

There is no advantage to you being on MER. Sky are the only winner as it is cheaper to run. I would not worry about it if I were you

      Don't worry about it.

I am sure that Sky will upgrade your connection in due course.

To the best of my knowledge there is little performance benefit from your perspective, so you aren't missing out on anything important.

      Re: Mer

It would seem that I'm actually not on the SVBN since I received a letter from Sky this morning to say we're being moved to Sky's new network in January (Network Transfer).

      Happy new year to all.

Yes, just because you pay your phone rental to Sky does not mean you are on the SVBN. This only applies when Sky have put their latest equipment into your exchange. No doubt yours has now been upgraded.
