Unfortunately the offerings in the Sky Shop do not include routers. Maybe when they have enough in stock they will include them. https://accessories.sky.com/

In the meantime you have to call up to make the order 08442 410 515. Make sure when you do order that they know you want the 2504N, or they may send you the inferior 2304N.

Don't want to ruin this for you but the advisor has no control over what router you get. They simply select Broadband Wireless N Router from the hardware upgrade folder. What router is picked by the depot is beyond their control.

With due respect to your intended message, but if someone selects 'Broadband Wireless N Router' from the menu and it is not a Sagem Path F@ST 2504N which is dispatched, then what other router does Sky send out?

The Sagem F@ST 2304n is not a Certified WiFi n router, so cannot be advertised as such. All the other Sky routers are WiFi g Certified.

      Re: 2504N Router

If someone mentions the actual model of the router, it'll mostly be met by a blank silence by the advisor on the other end. This is simply because Sky don't deem it necessary for advisors to know specific model numbers. Most just know them by 'phase 1 netgear' ('the white one from 06/07'), 'sagem refresh' (2304n) etc.

If someone wants a N router, just ring up and ask for the N router so that it doesn't confuse the advisor. If someone starts mentioning what model number it is, then I can only see it confusing things on the other end, unless I'm perhaps underestimating the training sales etc. receive. If a replacement is sent and you haven't had a N router, then it'll be luck of the draw which 'old' router you'll receive. If the 'N router' is sold on the phone, you'll receive that.

      Re: 2504N Router

      Hello again,
I phoned the number ISITME gave me and talked to a very helpful young lady, i ordered the 2504N router, she seemed to know the router i was asking for, i did ask her to clarify it was the 2504N router she was sending me.
I am expecting delivery in the next couple of days, so i will let you know what i get.

      Ross Anthony.

I assume she took a 35 payment over the phone for it?

      Re: 2504N Router

      Thank you for that User05.

Perhaps it would help sometimes for more of the people on the phones to know which specific router a client has. There are often specific quirks to an individual model that could come to light in a given situation at times.

      Re: 2504N Router

Firmware version is captured on the system, so you can usually tell from that if you've been there a while and know which fw correlates with each router. Other than that, most advisors will just ask the customer to check the manufacture printed on the router.
