      Sky's Netgear DG834GT latest firmware ?

      Hi

Anybody advise the lastest firmaware for this router?

      I have it at V1.03.87

I am lookin to change the security to WPA2 , is this possible ?

I take it I cannot use any other Netgear router unless it has the sky firmware on it ?

I have a NetGear Rangemax which I would like to use, is this possible ?

      Any help much appreciated

      thanks

      Re: Sky's Netgear DG834GT latest firmware ?

I'm on V1.03.87 (CU3.04) which is a customised version of it. I dont recall seeing a more recent FW.

Doesnt look like it supports WPA2. Personally my Sky Router is hooked up to an airport extreme to handle the wireless network.

Scubbie has done a guide on how to hook up two routers which should be in a Sticky at the top of one of the forum threads. I'll see if i can find it.

That's the guide RD. If the Rangemax router that pmclough has is a cable router, then there is a link on the first page to Tom's document on the D-Link to allow that to become the main router.

Depending which router it is that you have. If it is a cable router, see above.

If it is an ADSL router, then you can extract the Sky login details and configure your router as the main one.

Whilst this is against Sky's T&Cs, there are many members who do this. Full instructions are available elsewhere in this forum.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
